This project was created to replace old and very convoluted UBUS backend of the JUCI project and replace it with a compact RPC backend that is designed specifically for the task of relaying rpc requests between web based applications and the backend system. The new RPC backend includes an embedded Lua interpreter and a websocket frontend through which clients connect. It handles authentication, access control and relaying of messages to scripts that implement it's rpc calls. All scripts are written in Lua and provide interface to other system functions.
